(practical course delivered in St Helens) - starting on 3rd August open to unemployed customers in receipt of benefits aged 20+
Barbering course details
This qualification prepares learners for a career as a barber and is based on barbering
National Occupational Standards (NOS) which is recognised by the UK’s leading barbering
association (British Barbering Association – BBA).
Our courses are designed, developed and delivered by the BarbersNo1 Academy team consisting of experienced and talented leading professionals in the barbering industry. Course details: Our Level 2 courses are intensive, they run throughout the year and are based over 11 weeks, 5 days a week, including 1 day’s placement within one of Barbers No1 8 stores.
Qualifications; Level 1 Customer Service & VTCT Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Barbering
The course provides a level one Certificate in an Introduction to Construction, CITB Health & Safety and CSCS Card.

The festival is a two-day virtual event for Creative Industry professionals based in Greater Manchester, Liverpool City Region and Lancashire and is part of GM’s DCMS Creative Scale-Up Programme.
Hosted by The Growth Company and supported by Greater Manchester Combined Authority and the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, the festival has been developed in response to the challenges that have arisen in the sector as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
It aims to inspire, energise and re-connect the North West’s creative business community.
The event will feature keynote speeches from political leaders, 40+ guest speakers, insightful panel discussions, sector specific roundtables, peer to peer networking as well as a virtual exhibition of the wide-ranging support available to the sector.

The festival is a two-day virtual event for Creative Industry professionals based in Greater Manchester, Liverpool City Region and Lancashire and is part of GM’s DCMS Creative Scale-Up Programme.
Hosted by The Growth Company and supported by Greater Manchester Combined Authority and the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, the festival has been developed in response to the challenges that have arisen in the sector as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
It aims to inspire, energise and re-connect the North West’s creative business community.
The event will feature keynote speeches from political leaders, 40+ guest speakers, insightful panel discussions, sector specific roundtables, peer to peer networking as well as a virtual exhibition of the wide-ranging support available to the sector.

Qualification Overview:
This qualification aims to provide a broad knowledge of the health and social care industry. The optional units cover a wide range of subjects that learners will find useful in a variety of roles particularly in providing potential progression routes to supervisory roles or enhancing their current roles. Entry Requirement

Who is it for:
This programme is delivered by an experienced, highly motivational trainer and is for those who have substantial work experience, have held mid to senior roles (i.e. Manager, Supervisor, Team Leader etc) and may have recently been made redundant – maybe over 50, a Veteran or perhaps a Graduate entering the job market for the first time. This programme is about more than gaining a Level 2 Certificate in Personal Development, although that’s great too as it’s up to date ammunition for a CV; it’s about empowering individuals and building the resilient mindset needed to really succeed through change.
