This is not just a course designed to steer women into construction but also to demonstrate the different job roles available in the sector, how to go about getting qualifications and apprenticeships in specific trades and to help boost skills that they can use within their own home. They will also receive transferable skills that could be used to apply for work outside of the construction sector.

With the option to have additional training / cards fully funded upon completion of the routeway thanks to Procure Plus and Jobcentre Plus. The additional training will depend on the likely hood of work being obtained and if it is required for future job goals.

During the program we will have guest speakers from the industry to come in and talk about what it's like not just to work on site, but the different and varied career paths available in the construction sector. We will also have hands on practical sessions covering such elements as joinery, plastering, tiling and other trade skills.

Upon completion we will have opportunities for work placements on live sites, apprenticeships, and live job opportunities to apply for.

Your progress will be monitored by building up a portfolio of online assessment tasks and you will receive written feedback from the tutor to help you make good progress. Your portfolio will be assessed internally and externally moderated to meet Ascentis awarding body requirements. If one to one support is required this will be offered via the software TEAMS which links with Microsoft Outlook.
