Administration Apprentice Licensing Support Officer

Apprenticeships are high quality, work-based training programmes for people who want to develop their prospects and career.  The programme provides work-based training to young people and adults who want to learn new skills and gain qualifications while working.   Regeneration \& Housing are looking to recruit an Apprentice who is committed and motivated to complete the programme.

Your duties will include; general administrative support to the Housing Standards Team in relation to the Housing Licensing schemes.  This will include, speaking to licence applicants on the telephone and via email regarding their applications and taking payments over the phone, scanning/photocopying documents, data input and typing notes on request. You will be required, on occasions, to assist licence applicants in person (in the office) to submit a valid application. You will also be required to produce reports from specialised ICT systems, along with data checking and cleansing, and assist the Team with the promotion of the Council’s Housing Licensing Schemes.

This post will be based at Magdalen House, Trinity Road, Bootle L20 3NJ, and there will be agile working from home.

Salary - NMW age dependent + 3% (breakdown per age group as below)

·       Age 16-17 £ 9,291 per annum (£4.95 per hour)

·       Age 18-20 £ 13,195 per annum (£7.03 per hour)

·       Age 21-22 £ 17,738 per annum (£9.45 per hour)

·       Age 23+ £ 18,376 per annum (£9.79 per hour)

Hours - 36 hours per week. Fixed term - 20 months
