Games Tester

Description:

The role will require you to play video games before they are released in order to find glitches.  Once you find a glitch you will need to write a basic report to the developer to explain the glitch, where to find it and offer a possible fix.

Pay: NMW

Location: Renshaw St, Liverpool

Hours: 3 shift patterns 7.30am -3.30pm, 3.30pm – 11.30pm, 5pm – 1am ( not everyone is required to work this last shift ) There is some flexibility to accommodate transport/trains.

Contract: Zero hour contract – Full time hours available over the next few months during the busy period

Job Description;

Your job is to make sure games and applications give the best user experience by being bug free

To do this you will learn how to follow the Universally Speaking QA process and professional standards which we have optimised over the years to be the best in the industry

You’ll use a variety of industry standard bug databases to write detailed bug reports that get you noticed as someone who is trusted and cares about making games better

Reporting issues is where it starts but you’ll also have ownership to ensure that bugs have been fixed and implemented correctly

The ideal candidate:

Have strong written and verbal communication skills in English

Are passionate about video games

Are quick learning and adaptable

Are good with computers – word processing, database handling, record keeping, good working knowledge of MS Office Suit

Are familiar with varied systems and hardware, from PC to console to mobiles

Are reliable and consistent

Have the Right to Work in the UK

Also looking for Games Testers who are native to any of the countries below and speak their own language to a good standard.

Croatian, Danish, Dutch, Finish, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Indonesian ( Bahasa ), Italian, Korean, Mandarin, Norwegian, Polish, Spanish, Swedish, Thai or Vietnamese.

You will need to pass a language test in your own language and in English in order to be successful.  You need to be native to the country so you understand cultural sensitivities.
