Young person - Support Worker

Job purpose

Looking for a personal assistant for a 14-year-old, he loves to play football, PlayStation, and enjoys listening to music, riding his bike and he loves being outdoors in general.

He has a chromosomal duplication / ADHD / ASD and we are looking for someone to help facilitate his independence and support him out and about in the local community.

The ideal person would be someone who has a lot of patience, a lot of energy, someone who is highly reliable and with experience (personal or professional experience) of working with adults/children with additional needs.

Hours will mainly be in the evenings (2 hours a night) and or a Saturday afternoon but flexible in discussing what will work best for the right person and our family routine.

£11 P/Hour

He will need to be collected and returned to Crosby so somebody who is local or with a car would be essential for this position.

Main Responsibilities

  • Facilitating independence and safety in the community
  • Attending football matches
  • Playing football

No formal qualifications are required

Experience and Skills required:

You must be caring, friendly and empathetic.

Good communication skills

Experience with supporting people with additional needs. Positive working attitude  Behaviour Reliable and Trustworthy (good time management)

A good fit for the child is the most significant attribute for this role.

An enhanced DBS check will be required before employment commences; This cost will be met by the employer.
