Apprentice Library Assistant   Qualification – Level 2 Customer Services Practitioner

Hours - 36 hours Fixed term – 15 months

Salary - NMW age dependent (breakdown per age group as below)

Age 16-17               £ 9,911 per annum            (£5.28 per hour)

Age 18-20               £ 15,230 per annum           (£7.49 per hour)

Age 21-22               £ 20,700 per annum           (£10.18 per hour)

Age 23+                  £ 21,188 per annum           (£10.42 per hour)

The programme provides work-based training to those who want to learn new skills and gain qualifications while working.

The Library Service are looking to recruit an Apprentice Library Assistant who is passionate about this service, whilst also being committed and motivated to complete the programme.

The main base of this role would be located in Meadows (Maghull) Library, also supporting in Netherton and other libraries across the borough.

Your duties will include maintaining a high quality, efficient and high standard of library service for all users.  Undertake all operational aspects of the library function, undertake administration and daily/weekly financial routines, maintain records, and promote stock and events.
