To provide support to a friendly sociable 16-year-old girl with a moderate learning disability in the Southport area. She loves going to the park to feed the ducks, walking and swimming.

****To provide support to a friendly sociable 16-year-old girl with a moderate learning disability in the Southport area. She loves going to the park to feed the ducks, walking and swimming.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 support.
  • Support to attend a swimming session on a Wednesday evening that will include personal care and assistance in the water.
  • Support to access the wider community and participate in identified social activities
  • Support to identify alternative activities she may enjoy.
  • To provide support with social and emotional needs.
  • Assistance with personal care as and when required.

Minimum Qualifications N/A

Experience and Skills required

You must be friendly, caring, empathetic, enthusiastic with a good sense of humour and a positive outlook.

Experience of supporting people with additional needs in a formal or informal role would be desirable.

Good communication skills and the ability to be punctual and reliable.

An enhanced DBS check will be required before employment commences; this cost will be met by the employer.

Only female applicants will be considered due to personal care needs.

£11 p/h

6 hours per week

Wednesday 2hours 17.00-19.00   Other 4hours to be mutually agreed.

Additional 6 hours of support during school holidays would be available.
