Sefton@Work Launch Southport Office
Sefton@Work has officially opened a new office in Southport, making it easier than ever for residents across the borough to access free support with finding a job, changing career, or getting into training.
Located in Cambridge Arcade, right next to the Town Hall, the new office is a welcome addition to Sefton@Work’s long-standing base in Bootle’s Strand Shopping Centre. By opening this new branch, Sefton@Work is making sure that people living in the north of the borough have the same easy access to face-to-face advice and support as those in the south.
The Southport office was officially opened by Councillor Marion Atkinson, Leader of Sefton Council, Councillor Paulette Lappin, Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Economy and Skills, and Patrick Hurley, MP for Southport. Their visit marked the start of a new chapter for Sefton@Work and its continued commitment to residents across the borough.
Sefton@Work is a friendly, approachable service offering free, confidential help to anyone who needs support with work. That includes everything from building a CV and preparing for interviews to finding the right training or connecting with local employers.
At the launch, Councillor Marion Atkinson spoke about the value of Sefton@Work and what it means for the borough:
“Sefton@Work is a key service in helping the council deliver its aims of an inclusive local economy where no one is left behind.”
