Sefton@Work Joins IEP as a Capability Partner
Sefton@Work is proud to announce our new partnership with the Institute for Employability Professionals (IEP) as a Capability Partner. For more than two decades, Sefton@Work has supported residents across Sefton on their journey into meaningful, sustainable employment. Our team provides personalised guidance, employability support, employer engagement, and access to local opportunities, ensuring that people of all backgrounds can build the skills and confidence needed to thrive in today’s labour market.
As our organisation continues to grow and evolve in response to the needs of our communities, professional development for our staff remains a top priority. Joining IEP as a Capability Partner reflects our commitment to maintaining high-quality services and investing in the people who deliver them. The partnership offers structured access to training, accreditation pathways, and resources that strengthen our team’s ability to support participants effectively.
One of the driving reasons behind joining IEP was the opportunity to enhance our delivery of the Connect to Work programme. As we continue to expand this provision, it is crucial that our staff have access to the latest best practice guidance, sector insights, and specialist training. Through IEP’s comprehensive learning resources, our team can stay informed and equipped with the tools required to deliver exceptional employability support.
However, the benefits of this partnership extend well beyond a single programme. Being part of IEP provides Sefton@Work with a platform to engage with national networks, share learning, and play an active role within a wider community of employability professionals. It offers opportunities to collaborate, contribute to sector-wide conversations, and raise awareness of the innovative work happening across Sefton.
As we look ahead, we believe that becoming a Capability Partner will not only strengthen our internal capacity but also enhance the service experience for the people we support. By investing in staff development and connecting with like-minded organisations, Sefton@Work is positioning itself to continue delivering high-impact employment services grounded in professionalism, partnership, and continuous improvement.
