Instructions will be sent to you once you have enrolled on the course. If you already have an EDMODO account, we will send you the unique access code for this course. You will need to have the speakers switched on, on your PC, laptop, Smartphone or tablet to access audio. You will need to be able to access online resources in various formats, eg. PowerPoint, PDFs , Word and Outlook e mail. Your portfolio will be saved on cloud online storage and an USB stick is required to back up your work.
You will mainly learn remotely using our Edmodo learning platform. You can access step by step videos and instructions as well as other resources to support your learning. You will also have access to tutor support via the chat facility in Edmodo, which you can use to communicate with your tutor during and after the session. Your progress will be monitored by building up a portfolio of online assessment tasks and you will receive written feedback from the tutor to help you make good progress. Your portfolio will be assessed internally and externally moderated to meet Ascentis awarding body requirements. If one to one support is required this will be offered via the software TEAMS which links with Microsoft Outlook.
Sefton Community Learning Service offers a range of Level 1 IT courses and Functional Skills courses from Entry 1 up to Level 2 if you need to brush up your maths and English skills or require a qualification to support you with your career path.
