Sefton@Work Christmas Hours
Sefton@Work will close at 4pm on December 23rd 2025 and reopen on January 5th 2026 at 9.15am
Over the Christmas and New Year period most council buildings will be closed from 5.30pm on Wednesday 24th December, reopening at 9am on Monday 5th January.
Information on many services, including bin collections, applying for licenses, reporting environmental issues or paying Council Tax and business rates, can still be accessed on the council website 24-hours a day at www.sefton.gov.uk.
Social Care Services for Adults and Children continue to operate during this period for urgent support and advice. Both services can be contacted between the hours of 9am and 5pm on the following numbers-

For Social Care emergencies outside of these times please call the Emergency Duty Team on 0151 934 3555.
An automated phone service on 0345 140 0845 which details helpful emergency points of contact will be in place from 5pm Wednesday 24th December 2025 until 9am Monday 5th January 2026.

Our CHAT team will be available on all non-bank holiday weekdays over shutdown between 9am-5.30pm on 24th, 29th, 30th, 31st December and 9am-4pm on 2nd January.
