This course meets all requirements for you to become a construction worker. Upon course completion and passing the required exams, you will receive payment to apply for your CSCS card, which is essential for securing work on UK construction sites.

The course consists of the following qualifications and benefits:

Level 1 Certificate of Introduction to Construction Preparation and entry for test required for the CSCS card

Registration for CSCS card upon passing all the required units and exams

Full guidance and support will be provided throughout the 10-day programme. Your work will be assessed through portfolio-based evidence however we are flexible in our courses, the more effort the candidate puts in, the quicker they can finish the course.

Learners must complete a Maths/English test (BKSB) before being enrolled onto the course, without the completion of the BKSB, the candidate cannot start the course.

Eligibility

They need to be 19 or older as of 31st August 2020

Unemployed or working 16 hrs or less

Not in education

Right to work in UK

The candidates need to have access to public funds be eligible for / or on benefits.

They have access to a PC, Laptop or Tablet

(Smart Phones is not capable to support the course content) 

How the course will work

• Induction with tutor over the telephone

• Contact with tutor throughout the course via telephone, email and Microsoft Teams (video chat).

• Online delivery Microsoft Teams sessions are held twice a day with the tutor which delivers key elements of the unit. Learners working at own pace to complete the work with the tutor on hand for support.

• Tutor will mark the submitted work and feedback to learner on a daily basis.

Course Length/Flexibility

The course is to be completed in a maximum of 10 days, However if the candidate puts the extra time in, they can progress quicker as the course is flexible to work round them.
