Job
Description

Support worker required for a
16-year-old young lady with a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD),
ADHD, and emotionally unstable personality disorder (EUPD). She also
experiences difficulties related to OCD. She can be quite quiet and may take
time to feel comfortable with new people, so she would benefit from support
from someone who is patient, calm, and understanding.

She has additional support needs
around emotional regulation, anxiety, and managing intrusive thoughts and
routines linked to OCD. She benefits from a gentle, consistent approach, clear
communication, and reassurance to help her feel safe and supported. Building
trust at her pace is key to helping her engage and feel confident.

Despite her challenges, she has a
warm nature and enjoys spending time in calm, low-pressure environments. She
has a strong interest in Formula 1, loves horses, and has a real affection for
animals in general. She also enjoys going out for a drink at Costa, taking
walks, and particularly enjoys trips to the zoo, which she finds relaxing and
enjoyable.

She
may find busy or unpredictable environments overwhelming at times and can need
support to manage these situations. She thrives with someone who is kind,
patient, and able to provide a calm, steady presence, supporting her to access
the community and activities she enjoys while promoting her independence and
wellbeing.

Duties (day

* Provide reassurance and emotional support to help manage anxiety

* Provide structure and predictability during sessions to help her

adapting plans where needed
* Encourage independence and confidence in a supportive and gradual
