Job Description

Saturday and Sunday support required for an 11-year-old boy to access activities he enjoys, including fishing and visiting places where he can see fish and animals.
He has a particular interest in animals, especially birds and fish, and enjoys spending time outdoors and taking part in animal-related activities.
Hours Available
---
6 hours per week
12 hours per week during school holidays
Working Pattern:
Saturday and Sunday
Rate of Pay
---
£13.00 per hour
Duties (Day to Day)
---
Expected duties include:
Supporting participation in hobbies and activities, particularly those involving animals, birds and fish.
Arranging and supporting trips out to places where animals can be seen.
Transport to and from activities and outings.
Supporting access to community-based activities.
Ensuring the young person remains safe during outings and activities.
Essential Skills
---
We're looking for someone who:
Has an interest in animals and enjoys animal-related activities.
Understands and respects his love of animals. He will not tolerate anyone harming flies, bugs or other animals.
Is naturally caring and a good communicator.
Is able to identify when he is becoming dysregulated.
Is fit and active and able to support him safely, as he can become overwhelmed and may run off.
Holds a full driving licence and has access to a car.
Desirable:
Previous experience supporting a child with additional needs.
