### Carer / Support Worker / Personal Assistant

Location: Southport, Sefton

A caring and enthusiastic Support Worker is required to support a friendly and creative 6-year-old girl with Autism (PDA profile) and personal care needs. She enjoys spending time outdoors and loves arts and crafts.

The role involves supporting her to take part in activities she enjoys, helping her access the local community, maintaining routines, and providing a calm and positive environment that encourages confidence and independence.

### Hour

8 hours per week during term time

10 hours per week during school holidays

2 hours of support required on Tuesday evenings

Remaining hours and working times to be agreed with the employer

### Pay

£13.00 per hour

### Main Duties

Provide one-to-one support

Ensure close supervision at all times

Support access to community activities and social opportunities

Provide personal care while maintaining dignity and comfort

Help identify new interests and encourage participation in new activities

Promote independence and confidence in a safe and supportive environment

### About You

The ideal candidate will:

Be friendly, caring and empathetic

Have a positive attitude and good sense of humour

Be reliable, punctual and understanding

Have good communication skills

Have experience supporting children with additional needs (desirable)

Have experience in a formal or informal caring role (desirable)

Hold a driving licence and have access to their own vehicle (desirable)

### Additional Information

An Enhanced DBS check is required before employment starts. The cost will be covered by the employer.

This position is within a private household.
