### *Carer / Support Worker / Personal Assistant*

Location: Southport, Sefton
Reference: DP/JR/TR

A caring and supportive Support Worker is required to provide one-to-one support for a friendly and chatty 10-year-old boy with autism, ADHD and anxiety. He enjoys gaming and Pokémon and would benefit from someone who can engage with his interests while encouraging new experiences and activities.

The role involves supporting him to take part in activities he enjoys, helping him access the local community, maintaining routines and providing a calm, positive environment.

### Hours

8 hours per week during term time

10 hours per week during school holidays

Days and times to be agreed with the employer

### Pay

£13.00 per hour

### Main Duties

Provide one-to-one support

Provide supervision as required

Support access to activities and the wider community

Identify new interests and encourage participation

Help provide suitable sensory activities

Promote confidence, wellbeing and independence in a safe environment

### About You

The ideal candidate will:

Be friendly, caring and empathetic

Have a positive attitude and good sense of humour

Be reliable, punctual and understanding

Have good communication skills

Have experience supporting children with additional needs (desirable)

Have experience in a formal or informal caring role (desirable)

Hold a driving licence and have access to their own vehicle (desirable)

### Additional Information

An Enhanced DBS check is required before employment starts. The cost will be covered by the employer.

This position is within a private household.

Sponsorship is not available, therefore applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
