About the role
Carer / Support Worker / Personal Assistant
Location: Southport, Sefton
Reference: DP/JR/DR
A caring and reliable Support Worker is required to support a 7-year-old boy with autism and hypermobility.
The child enjoys spending time outdoors, exploring new places and learning new things. The role involves providing one-to-one support, helping him take part in activities, maintaining routines, and creating a calm, positive environment.
Hours
8 hours per week during term time
10 hours per week during school holidays
2 hours of support required on Monday evenings
Remaining hours and working times to be agreed with the employer
### Pay
£13.00 per hour
### Main Duties
Provide one-to-one support
Ensure close supervision at all times
Support access to community activities and social opportunities
Encourage and remind the child to use the toilet regularly
Promote independence where appropriate
Provide a safe, supportive and engaging environment
### About You
The ideal candidate will:
Be friendly, caring and empathetic
Have a positive attitude and a good sense of humour
Be reliable, punctual and understanding
Have good communication skills
Have experience supporting children with additional needs (desirable)
Have experience in a caring role, either formal or informal (desirable)
Hold a driving licence and have access to their own vehicle (desirable)
### Additional Information
An Enhanced DBS check is required before employment starts. The cost will be covered by the employer.
This is a position within a private household.
