About the role
An exciting opportunity exists for an individual with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, to work as a Public Liaison Officer within Sefton. The ideal candidate will be passionate about building positive relationships and making an impact within local communities.
As a Public Liaison Officer, you will act as the key point
of contact between the project and the local community, ensuring clear,
professional and timely communication throughout all stages of the project.
Please note, this role is based in Sefton and not Warrington.
Job Description
* Act as the main point of contact for community enquiries, concerns and complaints, ensuring prompt and professional responses
* Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, local authorities, schools, businesses and other stakeholders
* Prepare clear and engaging communication materials, including newsletters, project updates and community briefings
* Ensure timely and accurate communication of project activities and key information
* Support compliance with industry standards, including Considerate Constructors Scheme requirements
* Record, monitor and report on all stakeholder engagement activities
* Work closely with internal teams to align communications with project plans and milestones
* Support the management of reputational risk through effective communication and engagement.
Personal Requirements
* Previous experience in stakeholder engagement, community relations,
communications or public liaison.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships
at all levels.
* Ability to manage sensitive situations professionally and
confidently.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple
priorities.
* Experience producing communication and engagement materials.
* Knowledge of social value delivery and reporting would be
advantageous.
* Experience within construction, infrastructure or civil engineering
environments is desirable but not essential.
