About the role
Job Description
To provide 1-1 support to a friendly 7-year-old boy with learning disabilities. His language is limited but
can communicate through some speech and non-verbal gestures. He likes to be
outdoors and have the freedom to run.
He particularly likes to go to places
like the park or Formby woods. He requires close supervision to keep him safe
as can be unpredictable at times, but a wheelchair/buggy is available to use
whilst out and about.
He loves soft play areas and trampoline places like flip
out but often prefers to go places when it is less crowded and quieter. He
wishes to find someone who can help him access the activities he enjoys and
find new ones to explore
8hrs per week Term Time
10hrs per week
Non-Term Time

Duties
Provide 1:1 support.
Require patience and encouragement to do things.
To always provide close supervision.
Interact and play
Support to participate in activities he enjoys
Help to keep me safe whilst out and about.
Support
to identify new activities
Sometimes may have to provide personal care
Essential Skills
You must be friendly, caring, empathetic and enthusiastic about caring for
others.
Experience of supporting children/young people with additional needs would be
desirable.
Willingness to build up and develop positive relationships.
Be patient, kind and trustworthy.
Have good communication skills and the ability to be punctual and reliable.
Driving
licence preferred
