JOB DESCRIPTION – Care Assistant
SALARY - £12.68 P/H
SHIFT PATTERN -Day Shifts (Hours between 7am - 5pm)
JOB PURPOSE -
Reporting to the nurse in charge, you will work within a team to deliver the highest standards of personalised care the people who we support and care for, ensuring that everyone is treated with respect and dignity, and that an individual’s rights to privacy, dignity, independence and choice are met. You will provide care, warmth and kindness to help make a difference.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES -
* To deliver high quality care to the service users who we support, as prescribed in their person-centred, individual care plan, effectively, efficiently and professionally.
* To report any concerns regarding the welfare and well-being of service users to the nurse or manager.
* To act as a keyworker for service users as allocated, offering support in all aspects of their daily needs and to provide information to assist in the preparation of the care plans.
* To ensure that good systems of written and verbal communication and feedback are maintained within Green Heys.
* To ensure that appropriate, clear and accurate systems of recording, reporting and quality control are maintained.
* To work with the team to create an atmosphere that enables service users to feel at home, and to ensure that the privacy, dignity, choice, rights, fulfilment and independence of all service users are promoted and respected at all times.
* To develop professional relationships with service user’s families and friends, which will support you in understanding their needs more and developing that personal care. To ensure that all mandatory training is up-to-date and to attend training when requested.
* To ensure that you are aware of your allocated tasks each shift and to ensure that they are complete.

* Previous experience in a care setting is preferable but not essential.
* All mandatory training is provided and further learning is encouraged
