Job Description

To provide 1-1 support to a happy friendly sociable 9-year-old boy with moderate learning disabilities. He has a very bubbly personality who likes lots of social interaction and being active. He enjoys going to the park, the museum and play centres and likes reading books and watching cartoons.

6 hours per week term time

8 hours per week school holidays

£12.75 per hour

Duties (day to day)

Provide 1:1 support.

To always provide close supervision.

Interact and play with me.

Support me to participate in activities that I enjoy.

Help to keep me safe whilst out and about.

Support to identify new activities

Sometimes may have to provide personal care

Essential skills

You must be friendly, caring, empathetic, enthusiastic with a good sense of humour and a positive outlook.

Experience of supporting people with additional needs in a formal or informal role would be desirable.

Good communication skills and the ability to be punctual and reliable.

An enhanced DBS check will be required before employment commences; this cost will be met by the employer.
