About the role
You will be
caring for an adult male with a combination of physical and mental health
issues. Work would include assistance with phone calls, attending appointments,
assisting with medications when partner is not present, encouragement to engage
with hobbies and interests and basic self-care.
The number of
hours would be up to 16 per week. I would appreciate someone who could work
flexible hours and this can be through mutual agreement.
£12.75 P/H
Responsibilities:
Assistance and encouragement with cleaning specific areas
of the house.
Assistance with communication with Doctors, DWP and support
accessing mental health services before I reach a crisis point, etc.
Assistance travelling to and attending appointments.
Encouragement to engage with activities to support my
mental health, such as arts and crafts and gardening.
Occasional responsibility for medication when partner is
away.
Occasional support with cooking and prompting to eat and
drink.
Assistance and prompting for self-care.
Desirable Requirements:
An interest in arts and crafts.
Dignity and respect.
Patient.
Caring.
Flexible.
A driving licence is preferable but not necessary.
An enhanced DBS check will be required before employment
commences; this cost will be met by the employer
