Secretary/Admin Clerk

Description:

A large high street law firm with offices in Liverpool and Bootle, is recruiting a Secretary/Admin Clerk to work in its Bootle Office. The employer has a strong tradition in providing excellent legal provision and service and holds the Lexcel Practice Management standard from the Law Society. This role entails working in a busy Family Department dealing with work which includes:

  • Administrative support for legal advisors.
  • Dealing with client queries and new client procedure over the telephone.
  • To take telephone calls directed to the department.
  • To make appointments and confirm arrangements by telephone.
  • To take payments from privately paying clients, prior to their appointment.
  • To help cover core admin function as required.
  • To help on Reception as and when needed.
  • Liaison with barristers clerks.
  • Processing payments to the Legal Aid Agency.
  • Assisting with document production and logging time on case management system.

The above list is not exhaustive, but merely gives an outline of the general tasks required.

Personal Requirements

  • The ability to organise, monitor and evaluate own workloads in order to meet targets and deadlines.
  • A confident telephone manner and ability to retain information is required.
  • Good interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Secretarial experience would be desirable.
  • Previous Administrative experience.

SalaryIs negotiable and based upon experience.
