Description:
Our client is offering a fantastic opportunity to an apprentice to support business growth.
Duties will include:
- Monitor support tickets and provide first response troubleshooting services for staff, students and governors
- Act as a first line point of communication for all IT queries
- Escalate issues as appropriate - Provide an excellent level of customer service
- Respond to issues promptly
- Arrange warranty replacements and engineer visits as required
- Obtain quotes from suppliers as required
- Maintain and update Trust websites as required
- Provide basic Q and A support for the Trust Information Management System (Arbor)
- Maintain security, preventing unauthorised access to school systems and raising issues in a timely manner
- Ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times and data protection and security policies are adhered to
- Help with the development and maintenance of network infrastructure as required
- Help with the configuration, installation and deployment of IT equipment as required
- Travel between Trust sites as required.
- Regular maintenance and care of all IT equipment including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, projectors, interactive displays and printers
- Performing hardware repairs and upgrades as required
- Identifying and diagnosing hardware and software issues (pro-actively and re-actively) and recommending appropriate solutions
- Maintaining an appropriate working software environment on IT client equipment
- Support the delivery of staff IT skills training as required
- Creating and distributing written and video help guides as required
- Identifying and feeding back staff skill gaps to the IT team based on first line support experiences.
- Provide cover for other colleagues in the IT support team when required
- Any other general IT support related tasks as required
- Ensure policies and procedures are followed at all times
Skills required:
Qualifications Required
Strictly GCSE English and Maths grade C/4 or above
Annual wage £20,258.00
Working week Monday - Friday, 8.15am - 4.00pm, ½ hour for lunch
Total hours per week: 36
Expected duration16 Months
Location: Southport.
You will need to be able to travel around the Sefton and surrounding area independently. There is a requirement to be able to reach any of the schools across the trust, which could expand in the future.
