Due to growing numbers, we are looking for an experienced, Childcare Level 3 Early Years Practitioners to join our growing team to lead our Baby Room.
This is a full time post for 40 hour per week all year round. We are a popular children's nursery with an outstanding reputation in the local community. We are located in a prime area with commuter links close by.

Except for occasional training you are not required to work evening or weekends. The setting is closed on all bank holidays, we also do not open on Christmas Eve!! The nursery closes over Christmas until the first working day in the New Year.
The Room Leader’s main duties Plan, prepare and support the smooth running of a creative and playful curriculum with colleagues in line with The Early Years Foundation Stage. Conduct baseline assessments and age appropriate assessments based on children’s individual development. Support children’s settling in visits, inductions, and room transitions. Communicate with parents/carers about their child’s development and keep them involved. Support and mentor team members with their Continual Professional Development.
Are you the ideal candidate? Do you have the relevant qualifications and have at least 2 years experience working at Level 3 or above with Baby Room experience? Are you an energetic and innovative individual and enjoys working in a creative setting?
Are you able to work to high standards and use your initiative as required by the job? Are you in tune with a child’s interests and able to capture those “teachable” moments, while inspiring awe and wonder in each individual child to extend on their learning and development outcomes? Do you have experience of taking responsibility for key children’s learning development and can monitor, assess, and record children’s outcomes?
Can you evaluate and plan challenging yet fun next steps? Do you have excellent literacy and communication skills? Are you able to empathise with team members, parents, and children? From this are you able to demonstrate the correct attitude in varying day to day situations? Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced dynamic environment in which requires “on your feet thinking”?
