Caretaker

Description:

Based in a community Centre in Netherton, Merseyside.

To be responsible for the general maintenance and up keep of the Community Centre. To carry out regular inspections of the interior and exterior of the building to identify health and safety issues and report these appropriately. To organise and liaise with relevant contractors on site.

To be a key holder on a rota basis To ensure the Centre is open at times to meet community need to access activities.

To be responsible for the day to day operation of the mini-bus including weekly maintenance checks, valeting and driving as required.

To work closely with the premises staff of other providers on the site to provide mutual support and sharing of skills.

Experience in maintaining a vehicle and driving a mini bus.

Experience in providing general maintenance to a public building Experience of carrying out risk assessments and removing identified risks.

Experience of contacting and co-ordinating contractors to carry out repairs.

Ability to undertake minor and appropriate repair and maintenance work.

Satisfactory Enhanced DBS Disclosure and references are required if successful at interview.

Funded by The National Lottery Community Fund until 31st December 2026

30 hours per week to be worked flexibly (including occasional evenings \& weekends) to meet the needs of the Community Centre.

£16,660 per annum
