Accounts Assistant/Administrator

Description:

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant/Administrator to join the Accounts team.

Your main duties will include:

  • Operation of Sage accounts software system
  • Liaising with customers and suppliers as required with the resolution of accounts queries.
  • Support the credit control function as necessary and comfortable in chasing overdue client accounts.
  • Take payments from customers using in house systems and customer portals
  • Process invoices and resolve invoice queries
  • Ad hoc account related duties as required.

You will also be required to support the Transport department as follows;

  • Deal with customer queries relating to scheduled deliveries /collections/reservations which are current and yet to be booked.
  • Create new customer accounts utilising our in house data base and Sage 50.

Skills and Experience

  • Have a recent working knowledgeable of Sage 50 Accounts
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Educated to GCSE or equivalent (minimum of Grade C in Maths and English)
  • Advantageous if you possess a formal accounts qualification (AAT level 2)
  • Well organised and capable of prioritising tasks based on business need
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office/Excel
  • Good verbal and written communications skills also possessing an excellent telephone manner
  • Team orientated
