Accounts Assistant/Administrator
Description:
We are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant/Administrator to join the Accounts team.
Your main duties will include:
- Operation of Sage accounts software system
- Liaising with customers and suppliers as required with the resolution of accounts queries.
- Support the credit control function as necessary and comfortable in chasing overdue client accounts.
- Take payments from customers using in house systems and customer portals
- Process invoices and resolve invoice queries
- Ad hoc account related duties as required.
You will also be required to support the Transport department as follows;
- Deal with customer queries relating to scheduled deliveries /collections/reservations which are current and yet to be booked.
- Create new customer accounts utilising our in house data base and Sage 50.
Skills and Experience
- Have a recent working knowledgeable of Sage 50 Accounts
- Excellent customer service skills
- Educated to GCSE or equivalent (minimum of Grade C in Maths and English)
- Advantageous if you possess a formal accounts qualification (AAT level 2)
- Well organised and capable of prioritising tasks based on business need
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office/Excel
- Good verbal and written communications skills also possessing an excellent telephone manner
- Team orientated
