Support Worker/Care Worker

Description:

To support a 30-year-old young lady with Autism/Learning Difficulties living in the Formby area.

To enable her to access safe and stimulating exercise and activity sessions within the local community, support with self-care routines (bathing and dressing) in the home and to access social activities.

It is important that you have patience, willingness to learn and to understand the world from her point of view. She currently enjoys swimming, walking, cycling, and going to the gym. She also enjoys baking, music, and crafts with support in her home.

We are looking for a female worker who can support long walks, cycling, swimming, and going to the gym.

The successful applicant will need to be willing to work unsociable hours and a flexible work rota as part of an established team.

We are willing to work around existing commitments.

Hours will include weekdays, weekend days, evenings and overnights

There will be a 4 week induction period.

During induction you will work on average 10 hours per week, which will be a mixture of shadowing, and then being shadowed until you are confident to work on your own. After the induction period the working week will be 14 hours and one overnight per week.

On occasion there will be additional hours available to provide holiday/sick cover for the other team members.

14 hours \& 1 overnight per week
