Job Purpose: The role is specifically for clients attending the South Sefton Foodbank. Taking a pro-active and holistic approach to encouraging clients to be aware of debt advice available.
Main Responsibilities: •Advise, assist and support service users who could benefit from debt advice in accordance with agreed procedures, policies and good practice. •After appropriate training, take responsibility for Debt Advice under the Community Money Advice (CMA) model. Maintain appropriate records in line with CMA and FCA guidelines. •Develop a caseload and maintain detailed, up to date and confidential case notes and supporting documentation for the purpose of information retrieval and continuity of casework. •To act as an advocate for service users.
Hours of Work: Part Time
Maximum Salary: £14762.36
Comments: We are looking for a Debt Advisor, to work within our Centre. St. Leonard's Youth & Community Centre is a busy centre based in the Linacre Ward of Bootle. We also run South Sefton Foodbank and have eight distribution centres across South Sefton. We are looking to increase our busy Debt Advice Team. Three year fixed term contract.
Minimum Qualification Comments: Relevant experience in working providing debt and/or budgeting advice. Advice and Guidance qualification is desirable *Able to use Microsoft Word, Excel as well as Data Bases
