Experience and Skills: You must have Children’s residential child care and management experience and the ability to deal with difficult young people and produce behavioural management plans. You need to be able to lead and motivate a team and have the ability to manage a budget and co-ordinate staff rotas. It is also essential that you have a good knowledge of the appropriate legislation that governs this field and consistently demonstrate commitment to equality and diversity. Ability to occasionally work out of normal office hours and be on-call.

Job Purpose: New Horizons (NW) Ltd are looking to recruit a Registered Children’s Home Manager, based in Southport, to be responsible for the day to day running of the children’s home.
Main Responsibilities: To take overall responsibility for staff within the home, delegating effectively and appropriately. Manage and monitor costs, staffing and rotas, ensuring they meet requirements of the children’s needs. Ensure all staff are aware of their responsibilities in relation to adherence of policies, both in the home, the organisation and those set out in Children’s Legislation and Regulations. To be the first point of contact for any concerns, complaints or safeguarding issues. Liaising with Local Authorities, School, Health and other professionals to ensure the very best outcomes for the young people we care for.
Working Pattern: 40 hours per week to cover evenings, weekends and bank holidays where required
Hours of Work: Full Time
Minimum Salary: £29000.00
Minimum Qualification Comments: Relevant NVQ 4 in Leadership & Management or Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Level 5 (Management)
