Job Purpose: Working in Southport to assist and motivate, with a variety of household, personal and social activities and hobbies, a male employer in his early thirties who has high functioning Asperger’s Syndrome.
Main Responsibilities: To maintain good timekeeping Dealing with callers/tradespeople, attending meetings and appointments To respect employer’s privacy and confidentiality Act as a buffer, especially in public places, helping to alleviate anxiousness. Discuss any difficulties quietly and calmly Accompany to appointments, social events and on public transport Support, encourage and motivate to develop potential friendships To support with coping strategies needed especially when out and about. Assist to build morale, confidence and coping skills in order for him to fully participate in everyday activities.

Hours of Work: Part Time
Minimum Salary: £9.00
Maximum Salary: £13.00
Minimum Qualification Comments: Knowledge of autism preferred but training available from Autism Team The correct character and personality will override qualifications. Experience preferred but not essential
