Deputy Homes Manager

Description:

Based in Southport. To support the Homes Manager in the daily management of the home, staff and young people.    Supporting the manager with the day to day running of the home, helping to ensure that the home abides to current legislation.  Provide ongoing support to all staff and residents.  Liaise with external agencies . Overall management of the home’s budget and resources.  Develop the staff team. To be responsible for the daily care of young people, ensuring consistent planning and programme implementation is entirely congruent with the organisation’s aims and objectives and philosophy.  Comments   Minimum Qualifications relevant NVQ Level 3 or Diploma Level 3 in Health \& Social Care (Children \& Young People). Experience in Children’s residential child care and relevant management experience. You need to have the ability to lead and motivate a team whilst the manager is absent and have the ability to manage a budget and co-ordinate staff rotas where necessary. It is also essential that you have a good knowledge of the appropriate legislation that governs this field and consistently demonstrate commitment to equality and diversity. Driving will be an essential part of the role and so applicants will need a full driving licence.

40 hours per week to cover evenings, weekends and bank holidays where required, plus sleep-in duties inclusive of 5 sleep-ins at £30, additional sleep-ins paid at £76.00 each.

Wage: £25,000.00 p.a.
