Residential Child Care Worker

Job purpose After Care (NW) Ltd are looking to recruit compassionate, self-motivated individuals who have the desire to make a difference to the lives of young people they look after.     Main Responsibilities To ensure the young people are supervised as specified in their Care Plan. To assist them with budgeting, cooking, personal hygiene and maintaining high standards in their accommodation. To ensure the health needs are met \& all relevant information is obtained, collated, filed, updated and accessible.   Comments Enhanced DBS check will be required. Full JD, including benefits is available to download from after care website . Salary is £22,525.96 inclusive of 5 sleep in duties per month. Additional sleep-in duties (over the inc. 5 each month) paid at £76 per sleep-in.     Minimum Qualifications Essential: Good level of numeracy and literacy; Desirable: NVQ3 or equivalent in Children \& Young People Desirable: Driving licence      Experience and skills You will : - Be willing to work towards NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care. Have a caring and compassionate nature. Have excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a dedicated team. Have a willingness to undertake any aspects of care or non-care duties. Have basic IT skills and familiar with Microsoft Office. Be flexible to working long hours on a rota basis.
