Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprentice

Description:

This role is to support the teacher within the classroom following the curriculum.  The postholder will be expected to establish good working relationships with pupils, acting as a role model.  Be aware and respond appropriately to individual pupils needs, promoting inclusion and acceptance of all pupils.   You will also be required to prepare the classroom as directed before and after lessons, encourage pupils to interact and engage with others in activities led by the teacher.  Prepare and maintain equipment and resources as directed, assisting pupils in the use of appropriate resources within the lesson plan.   Assist with the management of pupil behaviour in line with school policy, gather basic information from/to parents/carers as directed for school reports.  Report on pupil achievements, progress and issues as required in an agreed format.  Assist with supervision of pupils out of directed lesson time, accompany teaching staff and pupils on trips as required.  Also providing clerical/administration support where required.   Whilst undertaking this role you would also be working towards a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship, therefore would be expected to complete all aspects of this apprenticeship, time off the job will be given to complete your qualification.   Apprenticeships are high quality, work-based training programmes for people who want to develop their prospects and career.  The programme provides work-based training to young people and adults who want to learn new skills and gain qualifications while working.   This post will be based at Holy Family Catholic High School, Virgins Lane, Thornton, L23 4UL

£6,512 to £12,880 per annum (Based on National Minimum wage for age) 30 hours - Term Time Only Fixed term 18 months.
