Charity Shop Manager

Crosby Housing Association is unique as a Housing Association to have a Charity Shop that has been established for over 50 years. The Charity Shop is an important part of our business and is a well-established link to the communities we work in.

The funds raised support the work of the association across a range of tenant welfare, environmental and community initiatives across Sefton. We have an exciting opportunity for a Temporary Manager to join our team and manage the day to day running of our Charity Shop.

We are looking for a well-rounded retail manager who is proactive in their approach and can work using their own initiative. The ideal candidate will have previous experience either in management or supervision of staff within a retail setting. As Charity Shop Manager, you will be expected to:·

Manage the day to day operation of the shop·

Lead a team of employed assistants and volunteer workers to receive, organise and sell a range of second-hand donations·

Maximize the shops profitability by promoting sales within the shop and making best use of online sales platforms·

Ensure that a high level of customer service is delivered, always·

Manage coach and motivate the team to deliver targets and lead by example·

Take lead on community projects lead by the shop e.g uniform initiative, volunteer week etc.

The ideal candidate will have:·

A commitment to the values of Crosby Housing Association·

Excellent leadership skills·

Commercial awareness·

Good training and development capabilities
