Bus Drivers/Trainee PCV Drivers

Description:

A local Bus company is looking for fully trained drivers or trainee drivers. Requirements are as follows;

• Possess full, EU driving licence (maximum 6 points) and complete training to gain a full PCV licence.
• Be smartly dressed, wearing any uniform provided at all times.
• To undertake any training required.
• Transport passengers in a safe and reliable manner·
• Operate the service to the scheduled timetable at all times·
• To complete all necessary paperwork if operating outside of scheduled time of 1 minute early and 5 minute late·
• Take fares and issue all tickets·
• Check and record all passes·
• Give timetable or route information when requested·
• To maintain a professional manner at all times·
• To ensure the safety of passengers at all times in compliance with Health and Safety legislation·
• Control the number of passengers as directed in line with vehicle legislation/maximum occupancy·
• Liaise with duty Supervisor(s) on commencement of duty to get allocated vehicle and/or instructions over potential delays on route·
• Check weekly for allocation of duties and changes to duties·
• Drive safely at all times complying with all regulations of the Highway Code and all legal requirements and parking regulations·
• To carry out a vehicle safety/walk round check of the vehicle before commencing driving duties, checking the safety of the vehicle such as checking tyres and tyre pressures. Notify any concerns about vehicle maintenance to the operations office immediately and put any defects found on the relevant sign on/off sheet

Trainee Bus Drivers

If you have a driving licence and would like to become a bus driver for a local company and you are claiming any employment benefits, you may qualify for fully funded training to gain your bus licence and get a guaranteed job on completion.
