Short Courses and Information Sessions
Since April we have been holding weekly short courses and information sessions at the Bootle and Feelgood Factory offices for anyone who is registered with Sefton@Work. These are motivational, pre-employment courses which are designed to improve peoples confidence, increase their skills and knowledge and empower people to take more control over their future.
The courses we are offering are half-day sessions on Interview Skills, CVs and Covering Letters and Hints & Tips for Filling in Application Forms. In addition we run an 8 week roll-on roll-off modular course at half a day per week called Improving Your Prospects which not only builds participants confidence and personal development it is also specifically linked to a qualification in Professional Customer Care.
We are also running a drop in on-line job search session every Wednesday morning at our Bootle site where people can learn basic computer skills and how to be more effective when searching the Internet for vacancies.
