Residential Child Care Workers

Hours: £17,500 - £18,500 (Depending on experience

Experience and Skills: Good writing & communication skills, knowledge of appropriate legislation, and experience of working within a residential childcare field or other relevant areas. Ability to deal with difficult young people Appropriate social work qualification, knowledge and training in approved control and restraint techniques, knowledge of current Health and safety legislation, first aid and food hygiene is desirable.

Job Purpose: To work within accommodation for looked after young people across Ofsted registered children’s home, ensuring all children's needs are met.

Main Responsibilities: To ensure young people are supervised as specified in their Care Plan. To assist them with budgeting, cooking, personal hygiene and to maintain high standards in their accommodation. To ensure the home is kept clean, tidy and in good condition. To ensure their health needs are met. To ensure all relevant information is obtained, collated and file. Records must be kept up to date and accessible. Prepare reports as required.

Working Pattern: 40 hours per week, between 8am until 10pm to include sleeps on a rota basis.

Hours of Work: Full Time

Minimum Salary: £17500.00

Maximum Salary: £18500.00

Comments: must have a driving License. Enhanced DBS is required Salary is £17,500 - 18,500 ,depending on experience.

Minimum Qualification Comments: Essential: Driving licence & Good level of numeracy and literacy; Desirable: NVQ3 or equivalent in Children & Young People
